Independence Celebration Friday, 21st of June, at Wynn’s Hotel, Dublin at 7pm

Dear Friends of Sierra Leone,

If sometimes Sierra Leone

crosses your mind,

stirs your memories,

inspires your prayers,

holds your history,

explains your life,

stretches your patience,

or drives your work,

then we would love to see you at the 2019, Night for Sierra Leone, to mark 58 years of Independence, on

Friday, 21st of June, at Wynn’s Hotel, Dublin at 7pm.

Bernie Moran, Manager of Roscommon Credit Union, will make a short presentation on the time she spent with the Sierra Leone Credit Union Movement , in January, at Kissi Tongi and other branches in Kailahun District, and the people and places that impressed her. The President of SLIP, Sr Hilary Lyons, will also address the event.

The Irish League of Credit Unions link to Sierra Leone’s 28 Credit Unions, is the newest form of the people-to-people solidarity between Ireland and Sierra Leone which you have been part of, and which has now lasted for over 150 years. This event will salute your loyalty and you will have time and space to renew friendships and build new ones. There will be finger food, too!

We would be grateful for €15 (cash or online) towards to cost of the hotel, and all euros you can give, towards keeping SLIP going.

We look forward to welcoming you,

Martin
